Tianyuan Chemical was established in 2005 and is headquartered in Xiaoyi City, Lüliang, Shanxi Province. The company primarily manufactures chemical raw materials such as alumina and aluminum hydroxide.
Background
In 2023, Tianyuan Chemical purchased four sonar flow meters for precise batching in the leaching process. Since their installation, the devices have maintained reliable signal transmission, with system‑displayed data consistently matching DCS readings and aligning with actual operating conditions, thereby meeting the requirements for real-time monitoring of production parameters. One year later, the company placed a second order for seven additional sonar flow meters from Pulasen, which are being deployed in the raw material leaching and settling workshops.
Upon investigation, like many mining customers, the sites currently in use were previously equipped with electromagnetic flowmeters; however, their readings consistently drifted, maintenance was labor‑intensive, and the data provided limited guidance for production. Since last year, after the leaching and raw‑material workshops adopted ultrasonic flowmeters—known for their resistance to erosion and high temperatures, immunity to scaling and air bubbles, and precise, stable measurements—their performance has earned widespread approval across the plant, creating a ripple effect that has led to the one‑time repurchase of seven units just one year later. As a result, flow management at these critical points is no longer based solely on experience and estimates; instead, it is now supported by intuitive, intelligent online instrumentation. We are confident that accurate flow data will provide more reliable insights to underpin energy‑efficiency management at Tianyuan Chemical.
At present, the installation and commissioning of field instruments have been successfully completed, and the training of on-site personnel has been duly certified. The sonar flowmeter’s straightforward installation and its virtually maintenance-free, stable performance have earned unanimous praise from workshop staff.
As early as 2022, Tianyuan Chemical had already selected Prosen’s online RP intelligent measurement system and online caustic soda concentration measurement system for its alumina technology upgrade project. The successful deployment of these smart instruments has played a crucial role in optimizing production processes and ensuring quality control, bolstering the company’s confidence in further advancing its automation efforts, and laying a solid foundation of trust for the continued friendly cooperation between the two firms.
As an increasing number of mining companies opt for Plaisen’s sonar flow meters, non‑nuclear density gauges, mud‑layer interface detectors, and NK/RP measurement systems—among other intelligent online instruments—the quality of Nanjing Plaisen’s products, its delivery capabilities, and its service standards have stood the dual test of both customers and the market. We remain committed to customer satisfaction, building trust through superior service and uncompromising quality, and doing our utmost to deliver the highest‑quality, most professional support.
